Different Ways to Start
Discovery introduces students aged 6 and up to designing, making, testing, and racing in the classroom. The main competition has Primary classes for ages 9–11 and Secondary classes for ages 11–19.
A global challenge / Ages 9–19
From the first idea to the race track.
STEM Racing is a Formula 1-endorsed learning programme for students aged 9–19, with classes shaped around age and experience. Students design, analyse, make, test, and race while building engineering and project management skills. Discovery offers younger learners a classroom-based first step.
Learn by Making
Students apply STEM theory through a complete project: design, analyse, make, test, and race. Depending on their class, they can develop skills in CAD, CNC machining, branding, teamwork, and project management.
From Class to Competition
Primary teams can compete regionally and nationally. Secondary classes build toward international competition. At events, cars are assessed by expert scrutineers, teams present their work, and students race head-to-head.
